Below are a list of some of Serj's "rules":
The venue is to NOT play any System of a Down song(s) while the crowd awaits the show. If the venue fails to abide, the artist will not perform.
Serj wants all of the dressing room doors installed with new locks. A total of 4 keys will be made to unlock the doors and only Serj and the selected three will have access to the locked rooms.
Serj also does not want any fans, groupies, or journalists in the backstage area. Security is instructed to turn everyone away. The exact quote written on page Two (2) of the rider is "DO NOT LET FANS, GROUPIES, OR JOURNALISTS/REPORTERS INTO DRESSING ROOM AREA. Security must reply to any of the groups listed above with the response: "Serj Tankian has not arrived yet."
Serj also requested one twelve pack of Sam Adams Light and a carton of Marlboro Red pack cigarettes.
And another strange request is that "THERE IS TO BE NO BEEF (except where noted) OR PORK IN THE FOOD OR VICINITY OF SERJ TANKIAN'S DRESSING OR CATERING ROOMS.
